I told myself to stop complaining online about all the changes you’ve made, but then I read this on this page: “To me, quite often the DC characters feel like completely different people now, in a way that makes it difficult for me to connect them with the incarnations that I love from the past”. This is exactly how many of the Hulk, Captain America, Thor, etc. fans feel about ANAD Marvel- and you’ve even gone further by literally replacing the characters. It seems you should understand our frustration then. Instead, it seems we’re marginalized due to our vocal displeasure. Somehow we’re prejudiced because we don’t like the changes when the true reason for many of us is that we simply want to follow those characters we always connected with and are not interested in some replacement players. Still, I’m taking your own advice and voting with my dollars and buying a fraction of what I used to.
I want to stress that I want Marvel to succeed. I’m not wishing for you to suffer any fiscal or physical harm. I’m just a long time fan voicing his opinions. And, right now, I’m pretty unhappy.
Now, having said that…While part of me of is loathe to do it, I will probably be buying Thor although I dislike that you’ve replaced the true Thor. Still, my wife is a cancer survivor and I’ve read that the new book treats the topic well so I will check it out.
On a final positive note, Hercules was excellent and I’ve really enjoyed the main Secret Wars book. (Thors was an interesting read.) Star Wars and Darth Vader are consistently greatly.
Thanks for the forum.
