Joe’s got pretty well as much as he wants to have. but his job is such that it takes him into all of the assorted areas of the company, and he’s pretty good about not forcing his decisions on the leaders of those areas. Make no mistake, he’ll absolutely advocate for what he believes in, what he thinks makes for a great story or a great visual or what-have-you. But he’s there to convince you rather than to roll over you if you happen to be the person who’s in the room with him. And his instincts about the Marvel characters are finely-honed from doing this for years, and he’s got a track record of success such that, more often than not, if he’s got a strong opinion about something, that’s a good indicator that there is something to it.
