bendis, I love you and your iron man. But... why do we have to get another relationship that is apparently based on guys having to 'deserve' women and women being trophies you get for being good :(?

have you ever met someone who is just better than you? doesn’t have to be romantic. just a person. someone you’d like to be friends with but, man, they are just at the top of their game and it inspires you to be a better version of yourself?
i have. and so have most of the people i have met. it happens professionally to me all the time.
some people meet people that bring out the worst version too.
my wife is a better person than me. she was on our first date. i wanted to be with her. not as a trophy for myself. as a life i wanted to be part of. a goal i wanted to hit. and she still is.
