I gotta say, Solicits are great to find out whose on the new books and what sort of art to expect from new artists... but damn if getting a solicit that reveals _____ is going to be in DD is not a total disappointment. I would have really loved to be surprised with that one. Total bummer. It's a win/lose, man. You see solicits to know where to spend your money, but half the time you feel like you already read it! Straight Bummin'.
It’s a double-edged sword for us as well. Believe me, I would love to be able to tell you nothing about an upcoming title apart from its creative team, but the way our distribution system is set up, and with the expense of the books themselves, that winds up not being fair to our retailers who are trying to maximize where they spend their money and to our fans who are trying to maximize the enjoyment they get from spending theirs.
