You’re making an inaccurate and sloppy analogy here, you know.
No major publishing decision is made at Marvel without all of the key division leaders agreeing on it. Nobody takes unilateral action here. In every circumstance, we weigh the situation and come to a consensus on what we think the best course of action is, for the company, for the marketplace, for the creators and for the material. And then we act.
So what you’re really asking is, if your boss agrees with you that the work can’t get completed by tomorrow as was said, and that the best course of action would be to get the work done properly rather than scrambling to get it finished in some haphazard manner in the time you have, where is your problem?
