While I love Sal Buscema, and agree that he is under-appreciated, my vote would go to Kerry Gammill, who was as good as John Buscema, John Byrne, or George Perez, but never got much love.

Kerry Gammill was good, but he had the same problem that Art Adams did, in that he was never fast enough or consistent enough an artist to truly have a run on a title where he could explode in popularity.
