Hi i’ve been reading and collecting marvel comics for 30 years and have always enjoyed second tier and forgotten characters. Was great to recently see the return of Crystar and Skull the Slayer in the great series Weirdworld..(glad to see Black Knight get a series). I used to love how Marvel would produce a huge amount of limited series…why do we not have them anymore? Will we ever see a return to Marvel’s Midnight Sons line and specifically the almost forgotten 90s new hero Blackwulf??>

Let me take your questions one at a time.

The reason we do relatively few limited series these days is that limited series perform more poorly in the marketplace–Retailers in particular, having been stuck with too many limited series over the years that they weren’t able to move, order very conservatively on limiteds.

I don’t know that we’ll ever see Midnight Sons return as a line, but most of the characters that were a part of it have come back since, and it’s likely that we’ll see them again. And eventually, we’ll likely make something out of the Midnight Sons name itself.

Same sort of answer with Blackwulf. if Marvel history tells us anything, it’s that if you wait long enough, somebody will bring back any obscure character who once had his own series.

    Glad you’ve been enjoying WEIRDWORLD!
