  • When it comes to a relatively new character like Red Wolf or Karnak is it the editors at marvel that pitches the story to the writer or vise versus because I can only imagine the many many many many pitches you guys get daily

    It depends entirely on the circumstances. in the case of Red Wolf, the character was set up in 1872 with the intention of bringing an iteration of him into the restored Marvel Universe, but Gerry Duggan, who wrote 1872, didn’t have the bandwidth to take the series on, so in speaking to Nathan Edmondson about potential new projects, it was one of a few things that were floated. In the matter of Karnak, editor Nick Lowe spoke with Warren Ellis about Warren doing something in the world of the Inhumans now that his MOON KNIGHT run was finished, and they settled on Karnak.
