Tom, a super agent Dick Grayson, a depowerd Superman dating Wonder Woman, Jim Gordon Batman, super-powered Damian Wayne/Robin. And a pigeon-holed Tim Drake... None of this is appealing to me, which is why I have delved so much further into Marvel lore. But I don't resent these characters (or even creators) and in fact still want to write for them (and you!) some day. But with this sort of paradigm change what're the odds any of us can ever get to play with these characters the way we dreamed? :<

It all depends on whether any of these changes sticks for the long term. Some of them might, others (Jim Gordon as Batman) are more likely story-based and will eventually return to “normal.” And, over time, some you may even find appealing, based on how they are handled.
