  • Why do we applaud superheroes (the 1% with powers) and their efforts to hurt the poor (those who must resort to crime because society has provided them no other options)?

    I think that’s a very skewed perspective on Marvel super hero stories, and most super hero stories in general. It’s a relatively rare thing that one of our villains has no other recourse than crime, and typically they themselves are equipped with powers or technology that are in the same league as our heroes (if not a little bit better, so that our heroes have a challenge.)
