Leaving out Art Adams, there's no way Todd McFarlane was more influential than Jim Lee. McFarlane inspired a few imitators, but it seemed like 90% of the industry was trying to draw like Jim Lee for like 5 or 6 years, and a lot of people still do, even today. McFarlane's success certainly started a shift away from house styles, but Jim Lee became a template.
Yes, but at that point you’re talking about the 90s, and the original question was who the most influential artist was in the 80s. In the 90s it’s probably Jim or Rob Liefeld.
