Are Norman Osborn and Sandman actually related, or is that one of those things that is best left forgotten? John Byrne wrote and drew a panel in Spider-Man Chapter One #0 in which Norman is recruiting Flint, and says it's not just because they have the same great-grandmother, after which Flint calls Norman "Cuz." I've never seen this mentioned anywhere else before or since though.
I don’t know that it much matters either way until somebody chooses to address it in a story.
