Why are Wil Eisner and Walt Disney's signatures so similar? Is there some little-known connection between the two?

I don’t know this with any certainty, but it’s possible that the young Will Eisner based his iconic signature at least in part on Walt Disney’s, which would have been well known from his films and cartoons at that point. Or it could just be a coincidence.
