Hello Mr. Brevoort, thank you for taking the time to answer all these questions. I would like to ask you about something I've been noticing lately. I get most of my comics in collected form. While in the past years, your policy was to collect your series first in HCs, I've noticed how the numbers of HCs have been dwindling in favor of TPBs. Both series that started being collected on HC as well as new ones are being collected on TPB first now. Is it just my perception or is it really a tendency?
We tend to shift our product assortment based on what the marketplace responds to best and the feedback of our retailer partners, both in the comics shops and the bookseller chains. That does mean that there will be times when softcovers are more attractive than hardcovers, and vice versa, and it’s a constantly changing landscape that is always a little bit in flux. So, short answer, yes, seems to be–but that’s at the moment, who knows what tomorrow may bring?
