What I always liked about Marvel was that unlike DC they didn't copy and paste their own characters. Yeah, Venom is a character very similar to Spider-Man, but at the same time he is dramatically different. The same can't be said for Superman and Supergirl. But now first Thor and female Thor? Spider-Man and Spider-Gwen? Blade and Kid Blade? It's sooo lazy and I really wish these characters didn't turn out successful, so that you have to do a little bit more to please the fans.
I have to say, it sounds to me like you haven’t read any of the books in question (I know you haven’t read the new BLADE series) and are instead judging based on what you’ve heard and what little you’ve seen. So my advice would be for you to take a closer read before you dismiss these things out of hand, as none of the examples you list are really much like what you’re worried about.
