  • Wolverine only appeared in one issue before joining the X-Men, Rogue was pretty much an x-character already (Claremont-created, member of the brotherhood) and Psylocke was another Claremont creation who he wanted to write again. None of those characters were really popular or big characters before they joined the X-Men. Whereas Beast and Human Torch are already both important characters in their respective series, and it's obvious Marvel is trying to use them to attract fans from those series.
