New Brevoort Formspring

Sorry to bother, Mr. Brevoort, but I have a question because I'm doing some research on Iron Man's armors... In Time Runs Out, there's a flashback scene of Tony trying to stop the Cabal using a bulky Hulkbuster-like armor, was that armor the regular Superior Iron Man suit (which can increase in mass as seen in Sup IM #8), or was it like a suit on top of the suit (á la movie Hulkbuster)?
