  • Why do you think DC keeps rebooting their JLA with the same seven characters? Okay, they switched out the Manhunter for Cyborg for affirmative action but by and large it’s the same big name characters. While you guys just relaunched a more diverse Avengers and gotten successful, why do you, as a fan, think DC keeps going back to their Big 7 formula? Einstein once said that to do things the same way and expect a different result is the surest sign of insanity.

I think that, by and large, it’s those core characters that people want to see in the Justice League. Doesn’t mean you can’t mix in other characters, too–but it seems like you need more classic Leaguers for readers to feel like it’s the real Justice League. DC has tried other arrangements, most recently JL United, but they just don’t work like the core JLA
