  • 1st. I would like to say thank you for the efforts of you and the Marvel team for putting such emphasis on diversity in the books. Of course there is still a long ways to go but to see Marvel making strides is a thing I applaud. I was wondering though with such a push how do the X-men fill the quota? They seem to be regressing on the diversity front even plucking the same ole members from the past. I know they aren't really under your umbrella but I just wondered if you had any thoughts on it.

I think that, as a whole, the X-Men has one of the most diverse casts in comics. One of the difficulties, really, is that every X character has his or her fans, so no matter who you choose to use in the books at any given time, there are going to be readers who are unhappy. But even with that, there are some X-Men who are clearly more popular than others (and those tend to be the ones who have been around for a greater period of time.)
