If Dr. Octopus used his machine to swap bodies with a gay man, let's say Northstar for instance, would he then become gay because he had a gay body or would he be straight because he still had a straight brain?

I’m not a biologist, so for the purposes of drama, I would assume that if we’re transplanting the essence of Doc Ock into another body then he retains those essential qualities that make him who he is, and so remains straight. Unless that’s the story–that being placed in an unfamiliar body begins to change Ock in unexpected ways–and that goes beyond just sexual orientation potentially.
