Hi Tom, I'm loving Duggan/Weaver's work on Infinity Gauntlet, but I was wondering -- why the change from infinity "gems" to "stones"? Was it an attempt to follow the movieverse's nomenclature, or a coordinated decision between comic+movie divisions to change them in both? I'm not at all as adverse to change as others on this board, and I do remember that they were collectively called "soul gems" before Starlin came along... but I was just curious as to the reasoning nonetheless. Having destroyed the original gems, it made sense to us to standardize the nomenclature a little bit as we move ahead. Gems, stones, it’s pretty much all the same in any case.
