Not a complaint, as I'm enjoying the current take of the character, but was it ever explained how Peggy Carter's post-WWII adventures like Operation S.I.N. fit into the old stories where she had amnesia from World War II until her return during Steve Englehart's run? I wasn't sure if I missed something or if it was just dropped, which probably makes the most sense given the sliding time scale and how that would impact Peggy's later S.H.I.E.L.D. agent and Avengers support roles.
Peggy needs to get amnesia somewhere for the timeline to still work, but with the passage of time, those stories don’t work any more regardless–which is one of the reasons why Ed Brubaker and myself decided to re-establish Peggy as Sharon Carter’s Aunt rather than her sister (and pretty soon, inevitably, she’ll be Sharon’s Great Aunt).
So no, nobody’s as yet done a story that has cleared that all up. By that same token, nobody’s referred to the period where Peggy had that amnesia in more than thirty years either.
