When was it decided that Spider-Man is about youth? Seemed like the Lee/Ditko and Lee/Romita runs were as much about growing up as they were about being young.
Same thing. Spider-Man is ultimately a coming-of-age story, always has been. But at the point that you’re having children of your own, you’ve already come of age.
