The headline "Spider-Man: Threat or Menace?" has been featured in a few comics. But is he possibly also a danger? Is this a question of linguistics, philosophy or perhaps the philosophy of linguistics?

That headline is really a joke, in that the two alternatives it offers are really no alternative at all. So, sure, you could replace one of them with danger, but it’d mean about the same thing.
