  • Right now it seems like a lot of talent is leaving your company to jump ship. Joss Whedon, Matt Fraction, Mark Millar and Stephen S. DeKnight all come to mind. Do you feel you could do a better job with retaining talent?

    This is a bit of a strange list you’ve put in front of me here. One is a writer/director of film, so not really my area (and he’s made two Marvel films and contributed to others, so it’s not unreasonable for him to move on), one is a television writer/producer, so that’s not my area (and he didn’t create the show in question, but rather carried the first season to completion, so it’s not strange that he would move onto other things), one is a writer whose last project for Marvel was several years ago, and then there’s Matt, who did a lot of work for Marvel, but now both has a lot of his own creator-owned work coming out as well as the opportunity to work in television and film.

    So based on this list, no, I don’t think there’s a lot of talent leaving Marvel at all.
