New Brevoort Formspring

So what's with the different speech bubble patterns for the Ultimate characters and Marvel characters? Are they supposed to sound different?

Since the beginning, the Ultimate books have used an upper-lower typeface. Made sense to keep that intact going into Secret Wars. Also, it made it easier to tell which of two similar characters you were looking at.

2. mtgmanabarbs said: For what it’s worth, I thought this was super clever. It also makes it feel like the two universes are equally valid, when I think any interaction between them might naturally bend toward 616 feeling like the “real” one.
