It seems to me that what you’re saying here is that the animation should draw from the comics (or, even more specifically, the comics that you like) and not from the films (or, again, not in ways that you don’t like.) And that’s a perfectly valid individual position for you to hold as one viewer.
By that same note, though, more potential viewers are familiar with these characters and their relationships from the films by far than from the comics, so it is only natural, especially given that animation and film are more related media than animation and comics, for them to draw some inspiration from them.
That all said, to my experience, the animation department does exactly what you ask for in your final statement–they take the best of what works for them in any other medium and adapt it to what works best for the shows that they’re doing.
