Why wasn't Secret Wars #1 New Avengers #34 or something and Secret Wars #2 Secret Wars #1? #2 is way more accessible and actually feels like the first issue of something.
Because the story begins with the end of the Marvel and Ultimate Universe, not after they are already gone.
