I'm a chronic lapsed comic reader who's hesitant to jump back in, but I like continuity/running plot threads. What if Marvel put out a graphic novel every year covering the big stuff that happened in all their series- a single springboard that a reader can use to get into any series? It could have character profiles and issue number footnotes. I think it would also tie the whole Marvel Universe together into a cohesive unit (and might help market smaller books). Wondering what your thoughts are.

I think there’d be a limited market for such a thing. It sounds sort of like what the Handbooks are, but with more actual comics content. I don’t see that there’s a whole lot of benefit to drawing summaries of comics we’ve just published. I hear you in terms of your ability to get a snapshot of what’s going on everywhere throughout the line, but I don’t know that I think this is a viable solution.
