After Oeming's run on Thor (diassembled and Ragnarok I think?) the comic seemed ready to explore new facet of the "Thor mythos". Halfway through JMS' run I realized it would more or less return to status quo, which it eventually did. With a new Thor in charge is it possible that Marvel might pick up the pieces where Oeming left off? And explore Thor beyond his role as an Avenger or son of the perpetually resurrecting Odin?

I think it’s doubtful that we’ll go back to what another creator was doing a decade ago. At this point, Jason Aaron is writing THOR, and he’ll tell his stories. After that, somebody else will write it, and they’ll tell their stories. Maybe those stories will be more like what Oeming did, or maybe they won’t–there’s really no way to know at this point. But glad you liked those books nonetheless.
