If we sold AMAZING SPIDER-MAN at $2.9 rather than $3.99, all that would change is the amount of money we were bringing in. And then the creative team would change, because we couldn’t pay them near what they get right now.
Your argument boils down to “I’d like AMAZING SPIDER-MAN to be cheaper.” And that is true, but that does not mean that it would sell better, and certainly not enough better to offset the loss of revenue. You’re going by your gut, but I am going by reams and reams of sales data. It may be counter-intuitive to you, but I’m afraid it’s true.
