Do think there is a marked difference in " pissing off fan boys" as opposed to "driving off fan boys"? Also, isn't the creation of hard core fans who are passionate about the characters a goal of your company?

Sure, of course I do. The first has those fans sticking around, as you do, and monitoring every move we make, as you do. The other does not.

And sure, I want to create passionate hardcore fans of our characters. but that doesn’t mean that I do everything that every single fan is passionate about or wants in a given day. Couldn’t if I wanted to, as some of those desires are contradictory.
