Hey Mr. Brevoort.
When I was actively collecting, I may have been inclined in some of the manners to which your audience tends to, though not in such a profanity laced manner as some ( I’m much more considerate of people no matter the lack of physical presence) because I was a fan/ want to be-in the industry illustrator. But what your audience doesn’t seem to grasp is that your business is just that. A business. Your product, characters, have to reflect the generation currently reading.
Do I like what’s being published?
No.
But, it’s not being published with my generation in mind (90’s reader) and I’ve come to accept that.
The majority or vocal majority, get stuck in nostalgia, me being no different in most ways, but I don’t take it out on the very professional that was apart of making the comics I enjoyed in my youth as you did.
I read the books I did not read in the past now, and they are new books and stories to enjoy.
What I’m saying is, you’re in a business not to make everyone happy, but to entertain those that are your audience.
Funny how many people bitch and complain about what Marvel and DC do, but can tell you blow for blow what was wrong with X book like it wasn’t going on all this time?
Don’t like, find something else or deal.
How hard is that to understand?
