MrB, with Renew Your Vows coming in few months, I was sure the OMD debate would start again. One of Mr Dan Slott's greatest talents is designing provocative stories that re-open old wounds. Yet, whereas I was and still am heartbroken by OMD and part of me is not able to enjoy Spidey as I did back in the day, I can't deny that it raised a key question: can superheroes stories involve marriage / stable relationships? Sadly, I believe not. At least not in the long term. What do you think?

Sure they can, although stable relationships aren’t really conducive to drama, which is why they get upended all the time. But Reed and Sue are probably the poster children for a stable relationship that has lasted the test of time. That’s not going to be true for all characters, though–and it’s tough to create a union like that today and make it stick.
