I posted yours; I posted his. Equal time. That’s the extent of my involvement here.<

Yeah I think I misread it. It’s especially tough because when you submit a post you’re name isn’t printed, so I don’t know if I should think that the person who posted their side was anonymous or not, which would make me a bit ragey, but I can say I only posted once. I guess two similar people think the same way. But you’ve got to understand – Tumblr is a cesspool for people who go out of their way to “support” their cause, through sheer ignorance and stupidity – not unlike other social media outlets. So I apologize for thinking it was a rape comment geared towards women. It’s what I expect from these places – people gripping for the smallest, thinnest slice of “evidence” and spout it as truth to their cause. Again, #FireRemender. 

So I guess I’m sorry I misread it. My bad. Funny enough, I was talking to my lawyer pal and he brought up rape by fraud, and that there is no legal precedent set for people being brain swapped. In fact, I think at that part of the story, Peter was so repressed to the back of the brain he was barely there. But this is comic books for crying out loud! Why create such a stink over something that doesn’t really exist, nor even remotely promoted any unethical motions? Peter being non consensual while heavily repressed or non-existent at the point of the story shouldn’t be something to rally against. We got a pretty cute story which really highlighted that love is more about looks. The storyline did so much more by showing how love can transcend social norms by having Ock date a little person than whatever little gripe you can have against Peter possibly being raped. Showing a social minority in such a positive light and bringing forth the stigmatism that little people can go through means so much more than whatever straw you’re trying to grasp at.

And, a huge part of me, loathes people who come here to complain about things they don’t like or things that they’ve misconstrued. I come here to find little golden nuggets of gossip and news regarding Marvel comics. Not to see a bunch of political debating on whether the X-Men’s plight is only that of racial minorities, or if someone could potentially in the real world have had committed rape. I just want to read some damn exclusives and teasers of things coming up. Instead people muddy up this place with their two cents and it’s frustrating. So that’s where my rant came from.
