  • Just saw the official Age of Ultron one-sheet...which you know isn't terrible I guess. But my friend and I were wondering...with all of the awesome artists at Marvel's disposal...why not have the official poster be a painted masterpiece by say Adi Granov or Mike Del Mundo? Is this a movie vs. comics type thing that I don't understand? Would a more comic book cover-y movie poster not work? Does Marvel studios have their own PR folks who would thumb this down for some weird PR -y reason?

Marvel Studios has done illustrated pieces with Marvel artists before, so it’s certainly not that. I’d assume it’s just a choice that they make–and one that, so far at least, seems to have worked out pretty well for them. But beyond that, i really couldn’t tell you.
