I have a two part question. 1) Why in Avengers 173-174 did Collector not have Hulk and Hellcat among his collection? (Mantis, Swordsman and Black Knight were considered "dead", those two were still active) and 2) Why did he not have Whizzer who is shown earlier in the issue but decided to retire? Furthermore doesn't him overlooking the Guardians when they were supposedly Avengers makes them not Avengers?
1) Hellcat wasn’t considered an Avenger–while she had her origin in the book, she hadn’t actually joined the team so much as just shared an adventure with them, and she departed with Moondragon before she could do so. And the Hulk had quit in issue #2 and really wasn’t considered a proper Avenger for decades.
2) The Whizzer similarly wasn’t an Avenger so much as a hanger on. And the Guardians weren’t actual Avengers, but were given honorary status so that they could access Avengers Mansion while they were in our time period.
