  • How close to unprofitable does a series have to be for it to be in danger of cancellation? Like if a series is doing better than breaking even, but not by much, is it on the chopping block because it's not doing very well, or is it safe because it's fulfilling the bottom line? Or do other factors make a difference?

    There’s a particular margin that every title needs to hit. If a book is hitting or besting that amount, then it’s fine. if it isn’t, or appears to be threatening not to be, then it’s in trouble.
