  • Why doesn't marvel do a second run of out of print tpb/ohc/omnis that are going for insane prices on the secondary market, for instance just off the top of my head stuff like brubakers death of captain america omni and the uncanny x-force omni? There is obviously a demand for it.

    There may be a demand, but it may not be enough of a demand to warrant another printing. If, say, 50 people are willing to pay a crazy amount on ebay for a particular book, that isn’t going to be enough to underwrite the costs of a new printing. The Omnibuses are expensive, both as volumes and to produce (and for the average comic book retailer to stock), so they’re all produced under the understanding that once they’re gone, they’re gone. In certain circumstances and with certain books, we’ve gone back to press–but there need to be a sufficient call for those volumes from the retailers in order to justify a new printing.
