Personally, I’m not a fan of turning artists into writers because those are two very different, very nuanced disciplines. What do you think?

If a given creator is both writing and penciling a title, they get paid for both disciplines, just as though they were done by two different people. And while not every artist has it in them to be an excellent writer, there have been enough who have to make this a worthwhile thing to try if you believe that a particular creator has the chops.
