You say making a successful book comes down to casting, and I agree. Sam Humphries dialogue lends itself better to books like SQUIRREL GIRL or HOWARD THE DUCK. If you asked him to pitch new SPIDER-HAM or X-BABIES series, for example, I'd be all over them. But his plotting on BLACK VORTEX and his past & present ongoings don't quite play to his strengths. He needs his own sandbox to play in. Oh, I know: BIG HERO 6! That's a perfect book for him!
