First, I'm very excited about EVERYTHING that's happening right now. I went to tell Hickman that I'm constantly amazed every week, but he's off twitter. Then I did some Ultimate Comics Ultimates reading and regarding the last story, can you peel back editorial a little bit? Clearly, from what we know now, the Disassembled arc was not Fialkov's idea, but editorial mandate to plant seeds for what's happening now. How often are books assigned top down with a general plot and cut in stone ending?
You’re mistaken. At least from a SECRET WARS point of view (I don’t know what his editor might have discussed with him directly), Josh wasn’t mandated to do anything during his assorted Ultimate Universe run. In fact, we had to push him away from a few things, as he was following what Jonathan was doing in AVENGERS/NEW AVENGERS and decided to play along, but without him or his editor checking with us.
