What's your opinion on separating the art from the artist? There are some comics professionals whose works I enjoy, but since exploring social media, I've kinda lost interest in them benefiting from me purchasing their books...

I think that’s entirely an individual thing. If interacting with the person has caused you to have difficulty enjoying their work in the same way, well, that’s valid.
