(Not really questioning Remender’s choice of characters to work with — they’re not my favorite, but other than Sabretooth, I can live with them — but that sure felt like a pretty silly in-character rationale. Where were Clint? Hank (either McCoy or Pym)*? Shulkie? Dr. Strange? …)

* Hard to tell where this is all in relation to the happenings in Hickman’s book, so the Hanks may not have been available…>
