With the kind of long game that Hickman plays, did he have to change plans for Time Runs Out due to the events in Captain America? On one hand, he seems pretty disinterested in Sam Wilson Cap, but on the other, Old Man Steve fits perfectly into his TRO role.

Jonathan didn’t have to change his plans in a major way, they were always fluid and flexible enough to accommodate most of what the Marvel Universe threw at him. The biggest shift was probably right at the beginning, when Professor X died.
