  • >I tried picking up Silver Surfer and I really didn’t like it. I always liked my Surfer stories awe inspiring, cosmic and philosophical instead of the more light and goofy take Slott uses. Funnily enough I have been loving Bucky Barnes: Winter Soldier and it’s currently exactly what I would have wanted a Silver Surfer book to be(without the assassins obviously).

PS I also really don’t like the other light and goofy books you do now like She-Hulk, Squirrel Girl, Daredevil (god I miss Bendis\Brubaker) S.H.I.E.L.D ect. Any chance Marvel will start doing a bit darker and more mature books again? The only current books that are even close are Punisher and Moon Knight and I would have been all over a S.H.I.E.L.D book if it had been less “Marvel Team-Up” and more “Homeland with superpowers”.>

I don’t think you have to look very hard for darker books in the Marvel line–seems like it’s most of them, everything from BLACK WIDOW to NEW AVENGERS to UNCANNY X-MEN to ELEKTRA to etc. etc.
