Hickman's your premier writer right now, and his Avengers stories are top notch. His character depictions are brimming with intelligence and depth. In particular, he turned Namor into a fascinating study of conflicting motivations. Did Namor's actions warrant his fate in Avengers 40? Maybe, but so many other dubious players aren't judged as harshly and left to their own devices. I'm not liking T'challa at the moment, and I hope he suffers a bit for the same imperious temperament as Namor.

Glad you liked it. It’s heartening to see how many people are turning on to what Jonathan is doing now that we’re in the lead-up to SECRET WARS, given that his runs on AVENGERS and NEW AVENGERS have perhaps been under-appreciated up till now. But like with FANTASTIC FOUR and SECRET WARRIORS, we played the long game with him, and it seems to be paying off for people. nothing but reveals and payoffs and climaxes left for the rest of the runs of both titles.
