I am so so sad at Marvel, it feels like comics now are just for the people starting the movies while the people who have been reading and following them for some times get weird retcon and completely renewed characters, who are basically destroyed and changed and made into something completely different.

I am sorry, but I have very little sympathy for this sort of selfish whining.

You act as though any of this is something new. but it’s not. Characters have changed and developed and adapted all through the history of Marvel, including whenever it was that you began reading the books.

And you could begin reading the books because there’s always been an emphasis placed on making sure that new readers could jump on. It’s been done more effectively at some times than at others, but there you go.

If we publish 70 comics in a given month, likely 65 of them are aimed at you and others like you, yet you insist on crying about the 5 that aren’t, that help to insure that another generation of readers comes in right behind you and keeps the industry alive.

I’m sorry you feel this way, but please, get over yourself.
