Hi I was wondering why Loki and Thor while fighting on the moon were both successfully reverted by the second inversion spell when the previous one was only able to affect those heroes and villains physically present in Genosha.

The first spell was a binding, tying a knot. And so people had to be present for it.

The second spell was an unbinding, the untying of that knot. And so people didn’t need to be immediately present for it to have had an effect. The only people it would have affected were those people who had been “knotted” in the first place, regardless of location.
