From my time reading your post I have come to anticipate certain things and I was right this time. I knew from your post that the good artist you guys have available take pretty long so I knew that the biggest problem with Wolverines was going to be the art and with today's preview it has been confirmed. If it wasn't for the fact that Charles Soule is writing it I wouldn't even pick it up due to the art just like I won't be picking up Squirrel girl because of the art.

I’m sorry you don’t like the art.

I do take issue when you suggest that it isn’t “good.”

Marvel employs artists with a wide range of styles and approaches. We’re well past the era when everybody was trying to draw like John Romita in a “house style.”

And in order to get work at Marvel, an artist needs to have displayed a skill level at their craft that puts them at the peak of the field.

Not every comic book is for every reader, and not every art style is for every reader. So if it isn’t for you, that’s perfectly all right.

But in no way are we using “bad artists.” We’re just not.

I didn’t hire Erica Henderson on UNBEATABLE SQUIRREL GIRL, but I don’t know that there could be a better and more appropriate artist for that series.
